  • Musical Composition Activity: Action with my Person

    Activity Instructions:

    Today we’re writing song lyrics! On the provided printable, have students write down an action, a person, and a place, or you can write down for them. Then collect the sheets and sing through their songs!

  • Musical Game: Higher or Lower

    Activity Instructions:

    Instruct students that they need to use their listening ears.
    Play or sing two pitches. If the second pitch is higher, have kids jump or reach their hands way up high, if the same, do nothing, if lower, sit down.

    Activity Instructions:

    Start rhythm on keyboard. Then sing song, putting each child’s name in the song. Adjust the ending based on the number of children you have – feel free to repeat or not, and add goodbyes to mommies, daddies, instruments, etc, if needed to finish the musical phrasing, depending upon the size of your class.
