FINGER PLAY: Down Comes the Rain

Activity Instructions:

Sit children in your lap. Follow directions as you sing song several times.

Down comes the rain
Pitter patter on my head (fingers tapping on body like rain)
Down past my cheeks
Down to my neck
Down to my belly
Down to my sides
To my knees to my toes
Now its time to get dry

In comes the wind (gently blow top of face, cheek, neck)
Whooshing fast past my head
Wind on my cheeks,
Wind on my neck
The sun comes out (rock gently side to side)
It’s a beautiful day
Rain, Rain, Rain
