FINGER PLAY: The Leaves are Falling

Activity Instructions:

Introduce the finger play, wiggle fingers as they move side to side for first half, wiggle down the body following directions in second half. Repeat several times. Alternatively, you can also play with throwing scarves in the air during the first half of the song and tickling the kids with them in the second half of the song.

The leaves are fall-ing from the trees
they’re drif-ting down-ward in the breeze
the co-lors twirl-ing through the sky
as down and down they fly and fly

They fall and dance u-pon my head
and down-ward spi-ral to my neck
down past my chest down to my knees
They touch the ground, then rest for me
