Word Rhymes

Activity Instructions:

The most memorable songs are the ones where the ends of the lines rhyme with each other.

For example,
Twinkle twinkle little STAR, how I wonder what you ARE.

STAR and ARE rhyme.

Just like BAT and CAT.  Or AROUND and GROUND.

Ask the children for a couple of  words that rhyme, then make up a silly song.

When we write the words to a song, we are writing lyrics.
